RP Heritage Chesterfield
Deep buttons, rolled arms, and a workshop that still does the tufting by hand.

Above eighty thousand rupees you are no longer buying material. You are buying hours of a specific person's hands, and it is worth knowing exactly whose and how many, because that is the entire difference between this band and the one below it.
On RP Heritage Chesterfield you are buying two days of steam-bending and hand-rolling an arm, plus forty-two hand-tied buttons. On RP Newari Kala you are buying forty to fifty-five days of chisel work by a carver whose name goes on the label. On RP Aaram Motor you are buying a serviceable motorised chassis and genuine leather that will still be intact at the headrest in year twelve. On RP Basanta Grand, a seven-seater, you are buying two bolted centre stretchers and two hidden legs that stop a 280 centimetre sofa becoming a hammock.
This is also the band where lead times get longer and we will not pretend otherwise. Twenty-eight to fifty-five days depending on the piece. Anyone promising you a hand-tufted Chesterfield in two weeks is either not hand-tufting it or not building the frame you were shown.
Our advice to buyers arriving at this level is to spend the extra money on the thing that cannot be changed later. Frame, joinery, foam, mechanism, carving — permanent. Fabric — replaceable in year seven for a fraction of the sofa's cost. We have recovered plenty of ten-year-old RP sofas whose frames were still perfect, and it is by a distance the most satisfying work we do.
Everything in this band is quoted in writing with an exact figure, an exact lead time and a named production slot before any advance is taken. If we slip, we tell you before the date, not after it.
