Hospitality seating is judged on three things a home buyer never thinks about: whether piece twenty-four is identical to piece one, whether the fabric can be specified as fire-retardant treated, and whether the delivery date can be trusted well enough to plan an opening around.
Batch repeatability is the hardest of the three for a small workshop, and it is a matter of discipline rather than machinery. For contract orders we reserve the full fabric quantity from one dye lot before production starts, cut a master template, lock the foam specification in writing, and record everything against a batch number on the Karigar Ledger. If you need six more chairs eighteen months later, we know exactly what went into the first twenty-four.
Fire-retardant treated fabric is available on request across the contract range, and we will tell you honestly which cloths take the treatment well and which do not. Boutique properties that need the look of velvet in a public area should specify polyester velvet, treated — not silk-look velvet, which will not survive either the treatment or the traffic.
