Warranty Terms

What is covered, and for how long

• Frame and joinery — 5 years. Cracking, twisting or joint failure under normal household use.
• Foam collapse — 5 years. A visible permanent dip in a seat cushion under normal household use.
• Stitching, zips and mechanisms — 1 year. Seam failure, zip failure, sofa-bed hinges, manual recline hardware.
• Motors and recline chassis — 2 years. Spare motors are held in Kathmandu so a repair does not wait on an import.
• Commercial use — 2 years on the frame. A public seat takes in a month what a home sofa takes in two years.

What is excluded

• Fading of any fabric from direct sunlight.
• Cuts, burns, pet claws, ink, and dye transfer from clothing.
• Damage caused by moving the sofa between properties.
• Damage from cleaning with bleach, spirit, solvent or a hard brush.
• Normal softening and settling of foam within the first three months.
• Any repair, re-covering or modification carried out by somebody else.

How to claim

Send a photograph and your ledger serial number to 9849239091 on WhatsApp. We look up the record — build date, karigar, fabric batch, foam specification — and reply with what we will do and when. Inside the Kathmandu Valley we come to you. Outside the valley we arrange collection or send parts. There is no claim form.

If you move, or sell the sofa

The warranty follows the sofa, not the buyer. If you sell it or pass it to family, the remaining warranty transfers with the serial number — tell us the new owner's number and we will update the record. If you move outside the valley, the warranty still stands; travel to reach you is charged at cost and quoted before we come.

If we cannot repair it

If a covered fault cannot be repaired, we rebuild the affected piece in the same specification. If that fabric no longer exists, we will show you the nearest match and let you decide before we start. We will not quietly substitute something and hope you do not notice.
