Sectional & Modular Sofas made in Nepal
Nepal moves house more often than its furniture is designed for. A two-year rental in Imadol, then a bigger flat in Baneshwor, then eventually the family home in the ancestral neighbourhood — and a fixed L-shape almost never survives all three moves in the right shape for the room.
RP Module was built for that reality. Each block is a complete small sofa in its own right: its own seasoned sal frame, its own 36-density foam, its own zipped washable cover. The blocks clip together at the base with steel interlocks, so a row can become an L, an L can become a U, and a U can become two facing pairs in a new flat without a single tool.
The commercial consequence matters more than the engineering. Price is per block — NPR 22,000 — which means the sofa is no longer a single large purchase you must save for and then commit to in one afternoon. Buy three blocks this Dashain. Add a fourth when the income allows. Add two more when the family grows. We hold your fabric specification on file and honour the quoted block price for twelve months.
The washable cover is the other quiet advantage. Every family with a small child eventually loses a sofa panel to a pen, a curry, or a nose bleed. On a fixed sofa that means a full recover. On a modular block it means unzipping one cover and washing it, or replacing one cover for a few thousand rupees. Several of our customers keep a second set of covers in a different colour and change them for festivals.
There is one honest limitation. Modular blocks have visible seams between them. If what you want is the single unbroken line of a tailored three-seater, buy the tailored three-seater. If what you want is a sofa that adapts to the next fifteen years of your life, buy this one.
