An office sofa has a completely different job to a living-room sofa, and the specification should be different too. It is sat on by strangers, in outdoor clothes, several times an hour, for eight hours a day, and it is looked at by every visitor who forms an opinion about the company in the first thirty seconds of waiting.

So we change three things for commercial builds. The seat goes to 40-density foam throughout rather than the softer 32 we use in homes, because a soft seat that hosts two hundred people a week will show a dip within a year. The fabric moves to a wipeable heavy polyester or PU leather, because tea will be spilled and nobody will report it. And the frame gets extra corner blocking, because office sofas are dragged when the floor is cleaned rather than lifted.

Written quotation with itemised specification, PAN and VAT invoice, delivery and installation on a named date, and an after-sales contact who is a person, not a form. For orders of ten pieces or more we produce in batches from a single fabric roll so that reception matches the meeting room three months later.
