Will it fit through a standard door?

Usually at 260 cm if the door is 90 cm and the corridor is straight. If not, we build it as two bolted sections at no extra cost — but you must tell us before we start.

Does a 280 cm sofa sag in the middle?

Not with two centre stretchers and two hidden legs, which are standard on this model. Without those, yes, any sofa this long will.

What fabric survives a busy household?

Jacquard or heavy polyester. Both hide marks and take a lot of use.

Can I add an ottoman that tucks in?

Yes, a matched 100 × 60 cm ottoman is the usual pairing.

Is it available in leather?

In PU leather yes. In genuine leather it becomes a very expensive object; we will quote it but we will also ask if you are sure.

Delivery outside the valley?

Routine. Pokhara, Butwal, Biratnagar and Birgunj are all quoted at honest transport cost.

In a joint family, seating is a form of hospitality. When six people arrive at once and three of them have to stand, everybody notices. The Grand is built for houses where that must not happen — 260 to 280 centimetres on one frame, seven adults, no gap in the middle.

At that length, engineering is everything. There are two bolted centre stretchers and two hidden centre legs, and the whole seat runs on 40-density foam rather than the softer 32 we use on family three-seaters. A long sofa with soft foam becomes a hammock inside three years.

It is a genuinely large object, so measure the door as well as the wall. We can build it as a two-section bolted frame if your staircase demands it — tell us before we start and there is no extra charge.

Ask us for an offcut of the actual foam going into your sofa and we will hand it to you. Come to the workshop and push the bare frame with your own hands before it is covered — most people who do that stop worrying.

Delivery and warranty, in plain language

Free delivery inside Ring Road, quoted honestly at cost anywhere else in Nepal. Fifty per cent advance when you sign the written specification, balance on delivery — and the specification lists the model, exact size, fabric name and batch, foam densities, leg finish and date, so there is nothing left to remember or argue about.

Five years on the frame and joinery. Five years on foam collapse. One year on stitching, zips and mechanisms. If something goes wrong, send a photograph and your ledger serial number to 9849239091 on WhatsApp — that is the whole claim process. Your fabric is reserved from the same roll for six months, so a matching extra piece actually matches.
