In Jhalak's words
All of the hand-tied buttoning of a Chesterfield, in fabric rather than leather, at roughly half the price. That is the honest description. It is the piece boutique cafés in Jhamsikhel and Lakeside keep ordering, because velvet buttoning photographs extraordinarily well and a café lives or dies on how it looks on a phone.
The buttoning is real — tied through the frame, not glued into a moulded back. You can tell the difference by pressing a thumb next to a button: on a proper tufted back the cloth moves and returns; on a moulded one it does not move at all.
Velvet in a commercial setting needs the polyester grade, and we will insist on it for a café order. In a home, either is fine. Lead time is twenty-eight to thirty-five days because there are twenty-eight buttons to tie and none of them can be hurried.
“Press your thumb next to a button and watch the cloth come back — that is what hand-tufting feels like.”— Jhalak Bahadur Khatri, proprietor

Delivery and warranty, in plain language
Free delivery inside Ring Road, quoted honestly at cost anywhere else in Nepal. Fifty per cent advance when you sign the written specification, balance on delivery — and the specification lists the model, exact size, fabric name and batch, foam densities, leg finish and date, so there is nothing left to remember or argue about.
Five years on the frame and joinery. Five years on foam collapse. One year on stitching, zips and mechanisms. If something goes wrong, send a photograph and your ledger serial number to 9849239091 on WhatsApp — that is the whole claim process. Your fabric is reserved from the same roll for six months, so a matching extra piece actually matches.

Questions people ask about the RP Heritage Tuft
A little. A soft brush once a fortnight handles it. It is the honest cost of a tufted back.
Polyester velvet, always. We will not build a café order in silk-look velvet even if asked.
Slightly softer, at 38-density, because fabric buyers usually want a little more give than leather buyers.
Yes, tufted to match, same button spacing.
Yes, contrast buttons are possible and look very good in gold on green.
Fabric costs far less than genuine leather, and there is no steam-bent arm roll. The labour on the buttoning is nearly the same.
