In Jhalak's words
The Bridgewater is the sofa people choose when they do not want the sofa to be the subject of the room. The arms are lower than the back and set slightly inward, the base is skirted, and the whole silhouette is soft rather than architectural.
Two practical advantages come with that shape. The low arm makes a comfortable place to rest an elbow or lay a head, which the tall square arm of a Tuxedo does not. And the skirt hides the floor line, which is useful in older Nepali houses where the floor is not perfectly level.
We build it with a proper kick-pleated skirt, machine-tailored and lined, not a loose flap of cloth stapled to the rail. If you prefer, we will leave the legs exposed in sal instead — it reads lighter and about a decade more modern.
“Some people want the sofa to speak. This one is for the people who want the room to speak.”— Jhalak Bahadur Khatri, proprietor

Delivery and warranty, in plain language
Free delivery inside Ring Road, quoted honestly at cost anywhere else in Nepal. Fifty per cent advance when you sign the written specification, balance on delivery — and the specification lists the model, exact size, fabric name and batch, foam densities, leg finish and date, so there is nothing left to remember or argue about.
Five years on the frame and joinery. Five years on foam collapse. One year on stitching, zips and mechanisms. If something goes wrong, send a photograph and your ledger serial number to 9849239091 on WhatsApp — that is the whole claim process. Your fabric is reserved from the same roll for six months, so a matching extra piece actually matches.

Straight-on; the low arm is the signature.
Questions people ask about the RP Everyday Bridgewater
Exposed legs are easier to clean under and read more current. The skirt reads traditional and hides an uneven floor. Both are the same price.
Yes, that is largely the point. It is the best arm in our range to rest your head on.
It touches the floor, so yes, at the hem. It is removable for washing if you ask for the detachable skirt build.
With exposed legs, absolutely. With the full skirt it reads more traditional.
Yes, at the same price.
Pure linen creases and marks. A cotton-linen blend is the sensible middle and it is our standard here.
