Is a deep seat wrong for short people?

It can be. At 62 cm depth, anyone under about five foot two will want a back cushion to sit forward on. Try it before you decide; we will not talk you into it.

Do the loose cushions go flat?

They compress and then hold. Plump them daily and rotate them monthly. We refill the fibre free of charge once in the first two years if you ask.

Can I have a firmer version?

Yes — we can build the Lawson silhouette on 32-density seat foam. Ask for the firm build.

Is velvet a bad idea with children?

Not necessarily. Modern polyester velvet cleans well. Silk-look velvet does not. We will show you both and tell you which is which.

Does it come with a matching ottoman?

Yes, RP Pooja in the same cloth. Most Lawson buyers take one.

Skirted or exposed legs?

Both. Skirt hides the floor and reads traditional; exposed legs read lighter in a small room.

In Jhalak's words

There are two kinds of sofa buyer. One sits upright with tea and wants a firm seat and a straight back. The other comes home, drops, and does not move again until dinner. The Lawson is for the second person.

The seat is deeper than our standard — 62 cm against 55 — and the foam is deliberately softer, 28-density over a 40-density support so it gives without bottoming out. The back is loose fibre-filled cushions rather than a fixed tight back, which is what lets you slump sideways with a laptop.

Two honest warnings. First, a deep soft seat is harder to get out of; if there is an elderly parent in the house, sit them in it before you buy. Second, loose cushions need plumping — about ten seconds a day — or they look tired even when they are not. If neither of those bothers you, this is the most comfortable sofa we make.

Ask us for an offcut of the actual foam going into your sofa and we will hand it to you. Come to the workshop and push the bare frame with your own hands before it is covered — most people who do that stop worrying.

Delivery and warranty, in plain language

Free delivery inside Ring Road, quoted honestly at cost anywhere else in Nepal. Fifty per cent advance when you sign the written specification, balance on delivery — and the specification lists the model, exact size, fabric name and batch, foam densities, leg finish and date, so there is nothing left to remember or argue about.

Five years on the frame and joinery. Five years on foam collapse. One year on stitching, zips and mechanisms. If something goes wrong, send a photograph and your ledger serial number to 9849239091 on WhatsApp — that is the whole claim process. Your fabric is reserved from the same roll for six months, so a matching extra piece actually matches.
