In Jhalak's words
This is the shape our younger customers arrive with on their phone. Low back, tight seat, thin arms, and legs that splay out at an angle instead of sitting square. It photographs beautifully, which is not a frivolous point — half of Nepal's sofa research now happens on Instagram and TikTok before anybody walks into a showroom.
It is also genuinely good for small flats. The raised splayed legs let you see the floor underneath, and a room where you can see the floor reads bigger. At 200 cm and only 85 cm deep, it does not crowd a 2BHK living room.
The honest trade-off is comfort profile: a tight back and a 34-density seat is a supportive, upright sofa, not a sink-in one. People who want to lie down every evening should look at the Lawson. People who sit, talk, eat and work on their sofa usually prefer this.
“Photograph it in your own room and send me the picture — I like seeing where they end up.”— Jhalak Bahadur Khatri, proprietor
The build
Foam
34-density seat, tight back
Frame
Seasoned sal with turned, splayed legs
Joinery
Mortise-and-tenon; legs doweled and bolted

Tight tailored seams, minimal piping
Ask us for an offcut of the actual foam going into your sofa and we will hand it to you. Come to the workshop and push the bare frame with your own hands before it is covered — most people who do that stop worrying.
Delivery and warranty, in plain language
Free delivery inside Ring Road, quoted honestly at cost anywhere else in Nepal. Fifty per cent advance when you sign the written specification, balance on delivery — and the specification lists the model, exact size, fabric name and batch, foam densities, leg finish and date, so there is nothing left to remember or argue about.
Five years on the frame and joinery. Five years on foam collapse. One year on stitching, zips and mechanisms. If something goes wrong, send a photograph and your ledger serial number to 9849239091 on WhatsApp — that is the whole claim process. Your fabric is reserved from the same roll for six months, so a matching extra piece actually matches.

Questions people ask about the RP City Mid
Yes — doweled and bolted through the frame rail, not screwed into the base. They are the part people worry about and the part we over-build.
For sitting, absolutely. For lying down, it is short and upright. Be honest with yourself about how you use a sofa.
Yes — natural sal with a clear matt finish reads very close to light oak, and it is what most buyers of this model choose.
Slightly, around NPR 4,000 to 6,000. It changes the character more than the price.
Any fabric will over years of direct sun. Mustard and rust hold up best; deep blue fades fastest. We will tell you this before you choose.
Yes, at 150 cm, same legs, same cloth.
